This is the request for damages
that the New Times has filed with
Maricopa County.
It is against Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas,
Dennis Willenchik and Sheriff Joe Arpaio
Under Arizona law this request for damages has to be filed before you can file a lawsuit. However since the lawsuit will be filed in Federal Court they don't really need to file this document, execpt so they can get damages from an Arizona court. The New Times will end up filing a law suit in Federal Court for civil rights violations per U.S.C. 42 § 1983. |
